Something to say

Something to say

Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) describes devices, systems, strategies and tools that support communication for those who have little or no speech. ‘The Bear’ is an AAC communicator, learning to use picture symbols, key word signs, gesture and vocalisations to communicate with more and more partners effectively.

Claire has few words, but she often has ‘something to say’ and AAC supports her to be able to do this effectively. Her eye gaze art has been used within the letters of the acronym, AAC.
